5 Halloween Snacks Kids Can Make Themselves (Ages 3 and Up)

Halloween snacks are more fun when kids get to make them. These five treats turn apples, pretzels, chocolate chips, and tonic water into monsters, witch fingers, spider webs, and a gelatin that glows under a blacklight. Kids 3 and up can handle the assembling and decorating, and a grownup takes care of the cutting and melting.

One of our favorite snacks to make and give to our friends/teachers is chocolate-dipped pretzel rods. Fall is my favorite time of year...and my kids love it too because it means apple picking! We have a tree right in our backyard that provides a daily snack for the kids. With Halloween just around the corner, we decided to take the after-school snack to the next level and make "Monster Caramel Apples." The kids loved making them as much as they relished gobbling their treats down!
