Behind the design
“We were inspired by children’s science museums and the giant, interactive wind tunnel they display in the center of exhibits. While shrinking it down to a kid-sized scale, we also played with different foam shapes to add to the tunnel like hearts and flowers, and ended up loving that the wind makes the hearts flutter – so sweet!”

I feel the wind machine is well built with a variety of experiments to try. The book gives ideas of additional activities to try.

My 3 yr old has always loved the wind tunnel features at children’s museums, and I have always adored wacky waving inflatable tube dancers. It’s a delight to have both in an at-home version. This toy has been revisited again and again, with my toddler excited to show off what they’re learning through repetition and experimentation.
